CLEANING MARINE VINYL We have recently been informed that S.C. Johnson & Son's has changed the formula of their Fantastik All Purpose Cleaner, by adding an anti-bacterial ingredient which contains abrasive cleaning agent. Given this is one of our recommended cleaning agents (printed on G&T's Cleaning Care Cards), G&T requests that all customers remove Fantastik as a recommended cleaning agent for marine vinyl from any future literature. G&T must perform more extensive testing to determine if the topcoat of marine vinyl will be harmed; these tests could take several weeks or even months. As a precautionary measure, we are requesting that all of our customers discuss this with their dealers and sales representatives and remove Fantastik from any literature. HOUSE FLIES ABOARD House flies are extremely annoying but have the habit of landing on the ceiling during the evening. They must drop in order to fly. Therefore, they can be captured by filling a part glass of water with detergent. A gentle shake and then a steady hand will provide the necessary technique to capturing these nuisances in the sudsy mixture. |
